I came across this device in a dusty corner of my mind. At first I thought perhaps it was a hoax. It's impossible origins and purposes were hidden in shadowy darkness. Gradually though, as I heard its faint tick tick tick it seemed to awaken a small part of me that could still hear its voice....Uncle Dick was standing next to a tractor in an Arkansas cotton field. I could still smell the dankness from the attic that morning.
