I noticed that Deepak Chorpra has a video called “The Creative Process“ which strangely enough is also the title of one of my videos. I recently posted it on You-Tube. I have contacted my lawyer to see if Deepak can write me a letter of apology for stealing my title and also send a nice big fat check for my pain and suffering. Deepak is a lot more spiritual than I am so I don’t think he will miss the money.
While I’m waiting to hear from my lawyer I thought I should point out that Deepak has only nine steps of creativity and I have 12. That means if you stick with me rather than Deepak you will get 3 steps for free.
I haven’t listened to Deepak’s “The Creative Process” yet so I will refrain from going into any depth in all this but I have to ask..... has anyone ever seen a Deepak Chopra painting or sculpture?
For all I know, my father who only painted two paint-by-number paintings of flying ducks in his life, could do better than him.
As to what I WILL talk about here, I’ve decided that I should make this post short,so I want to find something easy.
I’ve settled on this from the book known as Zhuangzi
Here is the quote:
Once upon a time, I, Chuang Chou, dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes I was a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was Chou. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.
People have really gotten carried away with this kind of thing and they make a big deal about it. The reality is that if we were all butterflies we would all have phobias about nets. I have yet to meet a single person who has such a phobia or is even the least bit afraid of a net.
On second thought, I did see our cat Charlie eat a butterfly once, and people have been known to be afraid of cats. So maybe there is something to the butterfly/dream dilemma.... I don't know. I guess we will just have to be patient and wait to find out. Deepak....what do you think?
